The project for the Professional School in Ariano Irpino stands out for its approach that rejects traditional typological specialisms, favoring instead a strong integration with the city and its urban fabric.

The complex opens itself to the flows of the city, bringing urban life into the school spaces and creating a continuous dialogue between inside and outside.

The architecture draws inspiration from the settlement patterns typical of the Irpinian landscape, with volumes and spaces articulated and scaled according to a rooted and measured rhythm. The base of the building unfolds as a system of artificial terrains crossed by ramps, stairways, stepped areas, and viewpoints, linking the town square to the Castle and integrating the school into the subtle network of routes and places of Ariano Irpino.

The physical and perceptual experience merges in compact spaces, where perception is fragmented by sudden openings that frame the surrounding landscape. This design creates an educational environment that fosters a relationship with both the territory and the community, offering a model of an open and participatory school.

The project thus reflects the desire to transform the school into a vibrant place, deeply rooted in its historical and natural context, while at the same time projecting toward the future with a contemporary architectural language that enhances both the educational function and the social value of the institution.
