The new Gerolamo Cardano Research and Training Center in Pavia is part of a broader urban regeneration plan led by the University of Pavia. Located in the northwestern area of the city – close to the engineering campus and existing research hubs – the project aims to establish an innovation ecosystem focused on sustainable research and education.

The new center will host facilities for both academic training and scientific research, strengthening the connection between university departments, local research institutes, and private enterprises. By fostering collaboration and accessibility, the initiative seeks to stimulate the creation of industrial value chains and joint research opportunities. The Gerolamo Cardano Park marks a major step in the region’s development strategy, positioning Pavia as a center of excellence in innovation. It integrates the university system with the surrounding productive and scientific networks, supporting long-term, sustainable growth.
