The new Aerospace Platform of the Politecnico di Torino, located within the Aerospace City district, is designed to serve as a hub for advanced research, innovation, and technology transfer in the aerospace sector – fostering collaboration between academia, research centers, industry, and public institutions.

The platform is defined by its high flexibility and modularity, with spaces conceived to adapt to the ever-evolving demands of aerospace research. The building is composed of multifunctional environments equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and systems, with a strong focus on energy efficiency and environmental standards. It hosts specialized laboratories and shared interaction areas for both fundamental and applied research, along with common services for the scientific and industrial community.

Architecturally, the design emphasizes transparency and a strong connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, featuring expansive glazed surfaces, bright communal areas, and a continuous visual relationship with the surrounding urban fabric. The integration of workspaces, laboratories, and informal meeting zones encourages knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The platform stands as a symbol of Turin’s technological and industrial heritage, deeply rooted in the aerospace sector. It aims to become a national and international reference point for talent development, cutting-edge technological advancement, and the overall growth of the aerospace industry.
