The project for the New Theatre of Alessandria was born from the need to return to the city a contemporary cultural space, capable of hosting performances, events, and public activities in an innovative and inclusive environment.

The intervention is distinguished by the creation of a new main hall and a foyer characterized by warm tones—particularly red—which becomes an identifying and welcoming element. The interior spaces have been redesigned to offer flexibility and comfort for both audiences and artists, ensuring accessibility and maximum functionality for a wide range of cultural events.

The project enhances the relationship between the theatre and the city, opening the building to the outside and encouraging a connection with the surrounding urban fabric. The entrance and public areas are conceived as meeting and social spaces, able to enliven Alessandria’s cultural life and become a point of reference for the community.

This work proposes a model of contemporary theatre that combines tradition and innovation, offering the city a new space for gathering, creativity, and participation—aimed at strengthening Alessandria’s role as a key cultural hub in the region.
