The New Parish Complex of Alba Adriatica is defined by the composition of simple, material volumes, organically arranged to frame an open and welcoming space. The two main full-height structures face Via Olimpica and Via Gorizia in parallel, while a third two-story volume serves as a connector, housing the parish offices, rectory, and spaces for pastoral ministry.

The liturgical hall offers a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional Christian architectural elements, featuring a single-nave layout, gabled roof, and a travertine façade made of prefabricated blocks assembled according to a mathematical algorithm. This system creates both horizontal and vertical movement, culminating in the central portal and forming a space that welcomes and shelters the faithful. Inside, the façade is mirrored in reverse, revealing a luminous slit above the Risen Christ.

The use of solid materials contrasts with lighter elements like wooden frames and panels, while carefully placed roof openings naturally illuminate the chapel, baptistery, and reconciliation room. The interplay of volumes—between solids and voids, straight lines and curves—creates a continuous dialogue among the various spaces, symbolizing embrace and inclusion.

The complex integrates respectfully into the urban fabric, engaging with the adjacent park and surrounding hills, and enhancing the parish’s social and cultural role. Both indoor and outdoor spaces are designed to foster sharing, integration, and community growth, offering Alba Adriatica a new parish center that is open, vibrant, and rooted in its context.
